Flyboard, Hoverboard, ATV & E-Bike Are Available Now at Turi Beach Resort

On 15 November 2015, Turi Beach Resort which is nestled in Nongsa Resort, officially launched four brand new activities which are flyboard, hoverboard, e-bike, and ATV. Supported by Wonderful Indonesia, the launch event was a success and Mr. Sumantri Endang, the General Manager of Turi Beach Resort, is optimist that with these new activities especially the flyboard and hoverboard, it will attract more visitors to come to Nongsa, the northeast part of Batam Island.

The e-bike or electric bike was like a dream comes true. Because when I went to Turi Beach Resort previously, I wished I could cycle around the resort to enjoy the scenery. While strolling is fun, going around with a bike is more fun I think. With this e-bike, we may cycle in a conventional way or just sweetly sit on the e-bike and let it brings you around.

Next is the ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) which I have tried before. Check out how I did with this big red on Escape to Turi Beach Resort – ATV Experience. It was challenging and fun at the same time especially when we went into the jungle and bushes all the way. *grin*

I would say that the most captivating moment during the launch event that day was the Flyboard and Hoverboard showcase by Sataporn Srirang, the 4th World’s Flyboard Champion from Thailand, which showing us some moves with the flyboard and hoverboard. The moment he flew up, at that moment also I immediately recalled of Ironman. Whosssh…whoosh…. 😀

I am trying to find out how the flyboarding works and here I think the explanatory from Wikipedia is clear enough.

A Flyboard is a type of water jetpack attached to a personal water craft (PWC) which supplies propulsion to drive the Flyboard through air and water to perform a sport known as flyboarding. A Flyboard rider stands on a board connected by a long hose to a watercraft. Water is forced under pressure to a pair of boots with jet nozzles underneath which provide thrust for the rider to fly up to 15 m (49 ft) in the air or to dive headlong through the water down to 2.5 m (8 ft)

The hoverboard has a similar concept to flyboard. It also uses water and air power to soar across the water and glide along it while we can also be elevated to a maximum height and do some moves.

For you who are interested to get on that board, do contact Turi Beach Resort to find out more information. So, the next time you go to Batam, you know that Batam is now no longer only about eat, shop and massage. Batam has something more exciting than that. Let’s get wet! 😉
