Three years ago was my first time to land my feet in New York City. I went there with my eldest Sister, my Brother and my Brother-in-Law. That was during Christmas, my first winter, too. That time, my brother gave me a surprise, a Canon digital camera for my Christmas present! Love it!
We went to Statue fo Liberty island in NYC. That time I were so excited even though I were only on the boat with my brother and other passengers passing by the island. I tried a few times to take as good as possible a picture of the statue and this was what I got.
Then, last year I went back to the same spot again! And again…I was very excited! This time I brought my more professional camera. Canon EOS 60D. Well, this time was a Christmas present from my eldest Sister! I am a fortunate kid to have such a caring family. And this was what I got.
I love both of the pictures because both were taken by myself. Haha…Since all the photos during my last NYC trip were corrupted, now I have an excuse on hand to visit NYC again for some good shots. 🙂
A little background of the statue which I search online.
The Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the people of the United States and is a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886, designated as a National Monument in 1924 and restored for her centennial on July 4, 1986.
For the complete story, it can be found here. Enjoy! 🙂
