There was once I went to Bali with my family and friends and we decided to stay in a villa instead of a hotel. We were introduced to this villa called Desamuda Village in Seminyak, a suburb of Kuta.
Desamuda Village is not a new villa in the region as you may see from the photos. But regardless of age, I pretty like the ambience of the place. Natural, peaceful and quiet. Remember, it is located in the middle of busy Kuta but yet we can still find peace in this place. When we reached there, it’s already night time and at that point of time and as I remember, there were many restaurants, boutiques, cafes along the streets.
Villa & Facilities
The villa has Balinese style touch I can say. Pillars and walls made from natural wood and stone with some carvings brought me to a different kind of atmosphere. We booked 3 bedrooms villa where we have our own kitchen and common hall as well as the private jacuzzi and swimming pool!
The private pool was not big and less than 1.5m depth but it was good enough for relaxing and doing some exercise. 🙂 If we want to swim in a bigger pool, there was a bigger pool in the common area.
Besides that, what I found more interesting was the open-air bathroom. Somehow I felt insecure but well it was alright. I like the natural touch for the flooring. The toilet was in a separated room but still in the bathroom area. The bedroom is fully air-conditioned any quite spacious. There is 1 bedroom on the first floor and 2 bedrooms on the second floor.
Food & Dining Area
Desamuda Village has its own restaurant called The Rice Table. There is The Rice Table restaurant in Singapore, too. At first, I thought it was just a coincidence, but after I checked their website, both should be under the same company because their name and logo are the same. Breakfast was served in buffet style. Although there were not many choices, overall the food was good. That was my Dad enjoying tea after breakfast and I suppose that was one big banana tree on the right photo?
What do you think? Will you consider staying in this villa? Let me know your opinion. 🙂
