‘The Sintesa’ Jimbaran: Experience The Serenity on Top of the Hill

“Close your eyes…Take a deep breath..
Listen to the birds chirping and singing…Relax..”

And for a few minutes, we laid down on the mat over the green grass in the park.
I heard birds chirping. Somehow, I heard it clearly and louder than usual. The sounds were beautiful.

    I felt the breeze…
    very gentle wind blowing over…
    It was relaxing…

    The Sintesa Jimbaran

I was not practising any new method to destress. That was the sunrise Yoga session that I joined during my stay at ‘The Sintesa’ Jimbaran, a hotel that is situated just a 15 minutes drive from Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport. I suppose there is no other better place for outdoor yoga around the area than at this 2,5-hectare hotel which situated on the top of Jimbaran hill. A total serenity on top of the hill.

Even so, ‘The Sintesa’ Jimbaran is only a short walk to many of Bali’s most famous traditional beach-side seafood restaurants. Spend time at the beach and enjoy the seafood dinner or take the complimentary shuttle service between the hotel and the Jimbaran Beach Club for fine dining by the beach. Or, perhaps go to the vibrant area of Kuta and Nusa Dua which is also only 20 minutes drive away. Doesn’t it sound good enough?

    Welcome to ‘The Sintesa’ Jimbaran

Being in art and creative industry for years, I become more sensitive looking for details. The moment I stepped into the lobby, I saw a beautiful ceramic statue, ‘Drupadi Agni’, standing elegantly in the middle of the lobby. I was drawn to the interior style of the hotel which is contemporary and with the touch of Balinese culture and Javanese. I also saw many wood carving elements being used as an accent around the hotel and I was told that every piece of arts there are special selections.

Btw, have I told you about the staffs? I have stayed before in various kind of hotels around Indonesia and other countries, but so far I haven’t encountered once where any of the hotel staffs would remember their guests by name. Although not many and it could be only coincidence that they remember mine, but to me as a guest, that’s the plus point that I will remember. I felt welcomed and no feeling like a stranger staying as a guest at ‘The Sintesa’ Jimbaran. 🙂

My Room at ‘The Sintesa’ Jimbaran

The Junior Suite room that I stayed for two nights was excellent. It was spacious, cosy, bright, clean, beautiful and hey…I also had my own balcony and my own walk-in closet! Then, there is a dining table for two which works as my work desk as well. That couch in the room was my favourite! I could sit there, watch TV and relax without mess up my bed.

Other than the Junior Suite, ‘The Sintesa’ Jimbaran also has rooms from the most basic, a 35-sqm Superior room, till the biggest, 201-sqm Presidential Suite Room. And besides the usual Superior and Deluxe rooms, they also have Superior Family and Deluxe Family. Each room type has a similar layout and design but comes with different benefits to cater to travellers with different needs or preferences. Which also means, whether we come for leisure or business purposes, or come with family or friends, we can always find one that is suitable for us. For more details on the rooms, do check out on ‘The Sintesa’ Jimbaran website or Booking.com.

The Facilities at ‘The Sintesa’ Jimbaran

Besides the Yoga classes that I have already mentioned earlier, guests also get to enjoy the gym or fitness facility, from cardio training equipment to weight-lifting. So far, I have never seen such a complete gym facility before at one hotel. Our workout session still carry on even when we are away!

There are semi-indoor and outdoor swimming pools, too. The swimming pool is big with clear water and doesn’t smell bad. Rain or shine, our swimming session still carry on! For the little ones? There are kid swimming pool and also a creative room where they can play and have some activities. After swimming, if we want to pamper ourselves further, there is a sauna room, whirlpool and also spa services. Make a booking in advance for your spa session to avoid disappointment! The booking can be done at the Receptionist counter at the hotel lobby.

After a workout and spa session, we must be hungry. Yes? No? There are two places at the hotel that can solve our that issue; the Coffee Shop that serves local and international cuisines and the BARber that serves some light snacks pairing with some signature drinks created by the in-house barista. Or we can head to the Wellness Cafe for a healthy fresh juice by the pool.

There will be a seating area set on the rooftop soon as the extension of the restaurant. Imagine having a meal with 360º views of Jimbaran with white beach or lights at night, it will be awesome! I will share my dining experience at the Coffee Shop and at the BARber in a separate post because it’s just too many stories and photos to show.

Although there are few facilities have not been completed yet when I stayed there but it didn’t make my stay experience become less fun or disturbed. In fact, I can’t imagine how lively ‘The Sintesa’ Jimbaran will be after the completion which is planned to be in these coming few months, can you? 🙂
