I went to Bali on 27-29 October 2012 to attend my friend’s wedding. I chose to stay at Ibis Style Bali Benoa which was just opened about 5 months ago because this hotel location is the nearest to the venue. This hotel is clean and adapts modern minimalist style to all its hotel interior. The moment I reached the hotel, I could see the vibrant colour of the seats at the lobby. The open space concept (no wall surrounding) made me feeling cosy despite the striking hot sun that day. Too bad I missed to take a photo of the lobby. 🙁
I made the room reservation through my friend and it costs for IDR650.000,- per night which was around $87. This was a discounted group price. Normal price will be around S$92. For this type of hotel, I shall say the price is still reasonable. You may book this hotel through Agoda. The room is not really big but more than enough.
The amenities provided are standard. Except the dental kit is available upon request. So, don’t hesitate to request one if needed. As for shower necessity, they use the shower, shampoo, conditioner 3-in-1 liquid type. So, if you have sensitive skin, it is good to bring your own. And hey, look! What I found in the room! A torchlight! Well, I guess there might be an electricity issue sometimes? At least, they are well-prepared.
When I want to make a reservation, I was told that this hotel doesn’t have a private beach. I am kinda disappointed that time imagining I would be going to Bali and would not be able to go to the beach. But to my surprise, they actually have one. I can’t really say it is really a private beach, but it’s just across the road about 5-10 minutes walking distance. We have to walk along an alley after crossing the road. Don’t worry about the vehicles. The hotel guard will help to clear the road for us to cross safely. 🙂
I read reviews regarding this hotel about their breakfast. From what I see, they don’t have wide-spread for their buffet breakfast. But if you ask me, I will say that it is not really an issue for me because I tend to explore more on the real taste of original local foods out from the hotel and take the breakfast in the hotel to fill in my stomach in the early morning only. 🙂 So, the choice is still yours.
