    Fly to Beijing

I can’t believe it that I was actually flying to Beijing!

    What happened?

Actually…nothing had happened! Haha…It just happened that Jet Star was having a promotion for their launching of new flight route to Beijing and the ticket price was so irresistible! We (me and my sis) have never had the intention or any plan to go to China for a holiday because of “not really good” stories about China that we have heard from people around us. But, we decided to go and experience it ourselves. The worst, if China is as bad as what we heard, we will never go there anymore next time. That’s it.

So, 1-5 May 2012, we departed to Beijing! I was excited as usual. *Wink*Wink* At the moment, Jetstar is still my most favourite airline. And guess what, I and my Dad got a free upgrade to Business Class. 😀 I was not really sure what’s happened. Anyway, I was glad that my Dad could have a more comfortable seat for the 5 hours and 30 minutes long flight.

We took an evening flight. One thing that I love when I took an evening flight or morning flight is I can see either a beautiful sunrise or sunset! Don’t you agree? 🙂

We reach Beijing Capital International Airport at around 10-11 pm. Everything was going smooth, and so to baggage claims area, we go!

There was nothing much to see that night at the airport as the time when we arrived in Beijing was already 11 pm. Do you see that banner? It says, “北京欢迎你”. Wohooo…. 😀

The weather was cold and the queue for the cab was pretty long. But the queue was fast though there’s a bit trouble that we encountered with the cab driver. However, the airport officer on duty that night was kind enough to help us. 🙂

Eventually, we reached the hotel safely around midnight. The distance from the airport to the hotel was quite a distance. The photos below were taken the following morning. We stayed at Holiday Inn Central Beijing which located at 1 Caiyuanjie Beijing, China, 100053. Anyway, we had a good rest that night and ready to explore Beijing! 🙂

UPDATES: As per current, Jetstar no longer fly to Beijing.
