“Happy Birthday!”
I finally turn 31 years old by the time I am writing this post. Fiuh, how time flies! 🙂
If I put it in a list, to the year 2012, I shall say:
• I have been living on this earth for 30 years and soon to complete my 31st
• I have been staying in Singapore for 7 years
• It has been 12 years since I became a Christian
Environment changes, life changes. Every year, those three matters do contribute in the way I think.
This photo was taken by me last week when I had a little walk with my friends along the One Fullerton nearby Esplanade. Will my life this year shining as bright as the spotlight on MBS? Haha..just a wild thought. It is calm. That’s one of my favourite places to let my mind rest a while from my daily busy life.
Considering that I am getting older each year, that could mean a bigger responsibility I would face. Rather than say as a responsibility, I prefer to say it as a bigger challenge. Older means wiser. That’s what I like to say to my friends on their birthdays and I hope that applies to me as well. 🙂
Considering that I have spent quite some times in Singapore, I shall evaluate whether I have adapted well to this new environment and what is my plan in the future.
Considering that I am now 12 years old Christian, what have I done so far? Am I still loving God wholeheartedly and loving people fervently? It has to work in two directions. Honest to say, it’s challenging, man.. 😀
Every year, either on New Year’s Eve or on my birthday, I would take some time to ponder what I have done and what’s next shall I do. What’s target for this new year. It might be old school but I like to do it and it’s become my habit.
Then, when I woke up this morning and I scrolled up and down my Facebook news feed. I found these two posts make me have a balloon speech over my head, “Wow, this is awesome”. It’s like spoken to me and given some “light and warning” at the same time. THIS IS FOR ME, I say. Ok, this might be for you, too! 🙂
I checked out Warren Buffett in Wikipedia, he is……awesome! Then, I also found another quote that also rings as a reminder for me. Perhaps the past years, I have been chasing many wrong things. Worth to ponder. 🙂
Assuredly, many good things and challenges ahead. I have to get myself more well-prepared than before. Well…play hard, work hard. Face 2012 with bold attitude! 2012, here I come. 🙂
Ooopss..almost forget of my new year and birthday wish. I wish, “Healthy and wealthy for my family and friends!”. And it is granted I know. 😀
The best year it is for everyone! Enjoy!
