Dream High is a Korean Drama series which was first shown in Korea early of this year.
I was accidentally caught on this movie during one of my weekends at home. The first scene I watched was when two of the main female leads were singing in front of the principal and the teachers of Kirin High School where these girls hoping to be admitted into the school. I supposed that was the first episode of the show. 🙂
It is a story, six students, at Kirin Art High School who work to achieve their dreams of becoming music stars in the Korean music industry. All the students come from a different background…First, Go Hye Mi is a student who had majored in classical music who always think that pop music is third-rate music.
Song Sam Dong, who lives in the countryside with her mother, not from wealthy family but is a talented guy. Jin Guk, a son from a Politician who restricts him from dancing. Yoon Baek Hee, a girl who grew up with a belief that she is a girl with bad luck, cause her mother had a bad dream prior to giving birth to her.
Kim Pil Soo, a very cute girl with a great voice but has an issue with her appearance and Jason, a talented guy however sometimes he is too proud of himself which bring him to a difficult situation.
Almost all of students were already taken as a failure and were predicted that they would never make it in the industry. Even, the teacher who at the end become their coach, was also the most hopeless teacher in the school. BUT, because they were given a chance, most importantly, because they had dream which keep encouraging them to work hard even though people around them against them, they finally make it to their first debut. They found friendship..they found their dream! 🙂
The movie has really inspired me. I love the story, the casts, the songs…I love their energy! I feel overwhelmed! It has hit its purposes. To entertain and to inspire the viewers. 🙂
Here is one of my favourite scenes where Sam Dong lost his hearing ability but with help of Hye Mi, he’s able to make it till the end. The song is sweet and nice. I found the lyric in English as well. 🙂
